Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Becomes National Kidney Registry Member Center

Today the National Kidney Registry (NKR) announced that Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston has become an NKR Member Center.

NKR Member Centers are a network of transplant centers that agree to an extensive list of guidelines and commitments to provide the highest level of care, protection and support to living donors.

The NKR is the world’s largest paired exchange program, facilitating over 1,700 transplants annually for patients seeking a better-matched donor and an improved transplant outcome. The NKR now facilitates 27% of all living donor kidney transplants in the United States.

“We are pleased to welcome Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center into the NKR family,” said Joe Sinacore, NKR Vice President of Network Development. “We look forward to working alongside their dedicated team to further advance living donor kidney transplants and help save even more lives. With the addition of Beth Israel Deaconess to our network, we continue to grow the reach of the NKR, offering more individuals a chance for a better match and a longer-lasting transplant.”
